Have you ever driven home and realized that you have no memory of the trip? Was it scary to know that you weren’t paying much attention behind the wheel?
Have you given an automatic reply that didn’t make much sense? For instance, have you ever said “You, too” to a box office employee who said, “Enjoy the show”?
Without awakening to what’s around us, we can miss the concerned tone in a friend’s voice or the precious smile of a loved one. In contrast, by attuning to what is unfolding now in our lives, we can step out of “automatic pilot” and discover opportunities and meaningful experiences that might otherwise have gone unnoticed.
Unfolding Now tunes in to these opportunities for meaningful moments. Unfolding Now applies the practice of mindfulness, a nonjudgmental, present-centered awareness, to everything from making a financial decision to finding joy in a relationship.

Dorje (pronounced "DOOR-jay") is a popular name in Tibet, Nepal, and Bhutan. The "Double Dorje" symbol depicted here represents enlightened awareness. My family's interests in Tibetan culture resulted in my given name, and gave me early exposure to the practice of mindfulness. Mindfulness is the practice of nonjudgmental, present-centered awareness, which inspires the name of this website, Unfolding Now.
